Goals of NOW and SNCC

To that end, SNCC has (as has now) worked to improve voter registration, use protest as a means of highlighting iniquity and initiating a call for action, created and pursued legislative and judicial change, and challenged mainstream American society to recognize the causes and effects of oppression.

SNCC has advanced the cause of accomplished rights in the join States and in conjunction with groups such as the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE), mounted an effective charm to rid the country of what bell hooks (1994) has called color clan systems that impose de facto colonialism on African-Americans and other people of color. What this suggests to me is that there ar very natural synergies amid the overarching goals and objectives surrounded by SNCC and NOW which should be far more cause than some of the tensions and conflicts that others deplete observed when these two groups are compared.
