Before the beginning of the twentieth century, in that location were very little options beyond isolation in the domestic sphere for women. There were many historical developments that gave reinvigorated opportunities for women in societies during this pivotal era. During this pivotal time in American History, women fought hard to gain the right to take, they began working outside the central office in the industrial field, and they became one of the major people to alleviate support the war effort after the United States admission into World War II. It was the beginning of the 20th century that women in the long run became equals to men, and made their voices heard.
In our society, we all have the right to vote for what is going on in our government, but this was not the fibre for women post 20th century. They were denied the ability to have a label and put down their vote. There are many women that were responsible for gaining the suffrage rights for women, and due to their hard work, they changed the history and privileges for all other women to commence after them. From the founding of the United States, women did not share evenly in its democratic freedoms, most notably in the softness to cast a political vote.

Over the course of the nineteenth century, women began the fight to gain political equality with men, most notably at Seneca Falls, New York, where the womens rights movement commenced in 1848. It was there that Elizabeth Cady Stanton drafted the Declaration of Rights and Sentiments for women (Bowles, 2011). This declaration was signed by 68 women and 32 men, which became a powerful symbol and began the long struggle for legal, professional, educational, and take rights for women. During this time, women were allowed to participate in the actual politics, but they were denied the privilege to cast their vote.
